Nah, the fix is in. Trump’s administration doesn’t even pretend to be on the up and up. Openly corrupt and the conservative wing has lost its mind more than usual to approve the behavior, whether it’s in courts or congress.

They are going to toss her in prison for daring to inconvenience dear leader.

This justice department is very incompetent. The only political prosecution they ever got to a trial I can remember is the guy who threw a sandwich at one of their thugs, and the jury threw that shit out.

Everything else has been dismissed because this is the worst bunch of lawyers to ever lawyer.

2 years ago, career attorneys with decades of experience would drop everything to get a job in the justice department because it was so prestigious. Now they’re having trouble recruiting kids straight out of law school graduating at the bottom of their class.

And federal judges are DONE with these clowns. It’s not just a presumption of innocence for the defendant. The justices’s default assumptions are increasingly that the justice department is actively lying.

          Oh, we’ll have elections.

They are just trying to decide how convincing they can get away with making it look like a free and fair election without letting it actually be free and fair.

Putin for example has decided that 88% support is “close enough” to a free and fair election… for now.

Elections are not the defining trait of democracies. Technically they are not even a requirement. This is why plenty of autocracies can actually have a ton of elections.

I agree, but again. Elections are not even technically required. There are democratic decision making structures that don’t rely on election of representatives or voting. Specially on direct democracies, it’s but one of the many ways to ensure the prevalence of democratic values.

Frankly, the continuing inaction to do nothing at all to even admonish the administration for openly corrupt behavior turning everything into a personal benefit for trump is depressing even if someone implemented ‘other methods’.

As bad as Trump is, it’s more worrying that no one is even vaguely willing to go along with ousting him. The handful of GOP that was even vaguely on the fence has been ousted at this point. Since the supreme court has ruled that openly politically aligned and outright racist districting is ok, and challenges about each state’s districting are only ever valid if the challenge would strike down a democrat plan…

Sure. I’ve voted D for last two national elections.

But… they’re still absolutely shit. Two different turds, one is less runny. Good job.

Over 70% of voters want universal healthcare, Ds can’t be bothered. Our “labor party” can’t even manage to keep our wages and benefits above those of POLAND. Un-fucking-believable, we’ve been surpassed by eastern europe.

Biden couldn’t even manage ONE stand alone minimum wage bill. Didn’t even bother. You should be ashamed to defend him, that was his platform. What he did there was an evil thing.

He didn’t need 60 votes. They can use the “nuclear option” whenever they’d like, for example, passing judges just requires 50 votes. (which 8 Ds just crossed the aisle to vote for an individual who refuses to say that Biden won the 2020 election). Excellent work again, Ds.

Trent Lott the Republican came up with the “nuclear option” term, and bOtH pArTiEs adopted it immediately, because it scares the shit out of dummies. Before 2000s, that simple majority vote was known as the “constitutional option”. They can do this whenever they’d like. They had minimum wage in the fucking bag for first two years. Are you blind?

I vote every election, and voted for Harris and Biden before that.

Ds are a minority now for a reason… less than a third of voters, just like Rs. It’s because you’re both absolute shit parties.

Over 70% of voters want universal healthcare and higher minimum federal wage for example… voters have wanted this for years.

Independents are now 40%+ of voters. You require our votes to win any national election.

Please stop treating those who help you like garbage, and at least pretend to be a reasonable person. You’re only fucking yourself and your own party over. Good job, professor.

p.s. Oh, and knowing my voting is against your wishes makes it all the sweeter, thanks! I would feel awful if someone like you agreed with me.

Odd that MAGA goons always have a problem with the smallest, most inconsequential things (like calling you weird), yet have no issue overlooking the same when it’s someone they agree with.
