So the survivors were kidnapped and tortured.

    https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/rare-survivors-of-pacific-boat-strikes

Here are a few excerpts. The article is pretty long with a lot of detailed information.

Now, 36 survivors of two Pacific attacks fitting a similar profile alleged that they were abducted and tortured by American forces and taken by boat all the way to El Salvador before being returned to Ecuador. Drop Site spoke to multiple survivors and attorneys from both boats.

“They treated us like animals,” said Sebastián Palacios of the Don Maca vessel, his thousand-yard stare welling with tears as he embraced his family at the Manta airport upon finally returning to Ecuador weeks later.

Several workers of both the Don Maca and La Negra Francisca remain hospitalized; many are receiving psychiatric care, as well.

Just another thing that no one will ever be held to account for.

A military recruiter emailed me recently, asking about information from my son. I emailed back that it was a firm NO and to never contact either of us ever again. Fucking predators.

I just checked the email again, and it was more along the lines of a mass email with his name inserted and such. At the time I read *.mil and my son’s name, immediately replied and archived the message. Actually reading it, the email said they were reaching out to all junior and senior parents to see who is interested. They got our email addresses from the school apparently.

I don’t understand why the school would think that it was acceptable to give the military information about parents and students.

You assume the school had a choice about giving the military the children’s information?

Recruiters are voracious, if you play football or do anything physically active in highschool they are on your ass, like flys on shit. Lower income or in a rural area it’s worse. Even if you say leave me alone they will still keep at it.

A lot of times they try to get the kids alone away from their parents to influence them. I’ve heard recruiters taking kids out to lunch to talk to them about joining.

If they get an inch they will take the entire mile. Best thing is to not engage them and teach your kid to not engage no matter how many recruiters try to talk to them. Kids think it’s polite to just hear them out, don’t.

Yup. My school made us take the ASVAB and I made an 89 on it, so every branch of the military harassed me for months.

I entertained a few of them, and proceeded to laugh at their blatant lies. Guaranteeing a MOS without it being in the enlistment contract, trying to get me to join the reserves with promises that I wouldn’t get deployed (at a time when reserves were actively being deployed), etc.

Like, you guys want me because you think I’m really smart. Do you really think lying about easily verifiable information is a good move?

For people who didn’t grow up in America, it may be surprising to read about JROTC. It’s a pre-military program you can take instead of regular high school classes.

That’s because they were in fact trying to kill all of you so no one would be left to tell their side of the story.
