How is democratically getting rid of a pro-putin pro-Trump wannabe dictator a good thing? Gee, not sure

What a relief, now it’s someone who does the same shit except he’s pro-EU, so he only harms minorities without inconveniencing us

I dont know if you know him personally to be able to judge him like that but from his public appearances so far that doesnt seem to be the case. I dont know what you would expect to happen? Some brain washing pills dissolved in the drinking water so hungarians stop being conservative? Changing a whole nation led by propaganda for decades doesnt happen overnight. Magyar is pretty much the best anyone could have hoped for in this election.

I just don’t think this is really worth celebrating. He was in the same party as Orban, their views aren’t that different except that he’s pro-EU and Orban wasn’t. It just feels like we’re celebrating that he’s not opposing our own interests anymore without actually caring for the people in that country.

From what Ive seen and heard of him, he will fight the Orban-induced corruption with all his power, which is very much in the interest of the people. Hopefully he doesnt build his own corrupt system, but we will see how it turns out.
