I had the most hilarious discussion with a Tankie about China a while back. They refused to accept that China is pretty much communist in name only. I pointed out that they had billionaires, privately-owned companies, a stock exchange and private property, meaning you can earn capital in China.
The Tankie actually said something on the lines of, “If you would JUST READ MARX you would know that earning capital is a fundamental cornerstone of communism!”

What sort of “dark messengers” preach compassion and justice?
In case anyone wasn’t aware, the ‘trouble’ many of these ‘troubled adolescents’ get themselves into is having a boyfriend or girlfriend that’s the same gender they are. Or, worse, saying their gender is not the one assigned to them at birth!
“Tricking him” by paying for him to say stuff over Cameo, something he agreed to.
In fact, the only way he didn’t know what he was being tricked into was that he didn’t read what he said before he said it since you can say no to any request. It was fucking obvious he was being trolled. Here’s one of the things he was paid to, and did, say and it wasn’t even the most ridiculous:

Oh I don’t disagree. I think the standard for most of the 20th century- 19 years with an option to renew for another 19, made a lot more sense. I just don’t praise these companies seeing dollar signs because they can capitalize off of a popular work becoming public domain almost the minute it enters the public domain either.
It’s definitely Disney’s fault. The original reason they convinced Sonny Bono to extend the copyright act was because it was the home video era and it meant anyone could start selling VHS tapes with Steamboat Willie on them. Now that era is over, so Disney cares a lot less.
I suppose, but it feels more like a cheap cash grab to me.
If the game or the movie are anything more than mediocre, I’ll reconsider.
People will look back on this era and say, “just because they could have doesn’t mean they should have.”
