When I got a job iPhone i tried really hard to understand and to like it. I didn’t. The app store was a mess and the one button navigation made all apps inconsistent in what it does and where different apps put their own back button. My boss was very smug and thought I’d become an Apple evangelist just like him so I had to neatly wrap up some criticism of why we shouldn’t copy their UX for our product.

This is so stupid it is hilarious. I guess the first question to the customer is what they want to know, and the second question is what they want as a result.

I reflected upon this today after watching something with David Mitchell that I believe is from old money.

You know the people doing the game show circuit? Check out the middle aged people, men in particular. Plenty of wonky teefies. Dunno if I’d call them unlucky.

I’m not American but it gets normalized when you see the veneer smiles everywhere.

I was thinking about pop science headlines in the nineties, maybe even earlier.

I think it is fair enough to have trackers on your page and I also think it is fair enough that it should remain useable for people that block trackers. Unfortunately a lot of pages are built around third party tracking and are non functional for anybody with integrity filters.
