His biggest failures, as I’ve heard it, revolve around the fact that he only cares about making short-term profits and doesn’t understand human beings. Steve Jobs did a lot of telling him to go fuck himself back in the day, to the great benefit of kot only the company, but to the customers. Why he was put in as the next guy to lead the company is beyond me.
Boris Johnson’s look is/was apparently designed to make him seem likeable to stupid people. They see someone who has a decent fitting suit and think “fuck that elitist bastard” because that’s the level we’re operating on.
To be honest, I get how it has an effect but this is just insanity. The level of fuckery we permit based on the dumbest shit is just insane.
Exactly. Centrism, and the very idea that there is “moderation” to be sought between progressive ideals and back-assward conservatism, is a fucking plague. We all suffer because people don’t want to seem “extreme” and I’m fucking tired of it. We have to commit to being progressive and admit that all centrism has ever done is seek validation for and to normalize right-wing viewpoints long enough that we stop paying attention.
It must be wild being the kind of person who reads about a piece of positive news like any renewable being widely adopted and then believes that it means that everyone is going all-in, 100% on it. Also hydro powers nearly all of Québec and in Ontario there are plenty of different sources of power but we still call it a “hydro bill”, not an “electricity bill”.
You’re like the people who hear about reducing cars in city downtowns and bring up rural farmers needing their trucks as if anyone is talking about that.
