    https://flex-power.energy/energyblog/the-great-decoupling/

Energy prices are decoupling from fossil fuel volatility. Just one of the reasons the fossil fuel lobby is dumping massive amounts of money into anti-renewable desinformation and lobbying (read: corruption) so politicians promote idiotic schemes to cap fuel prices instead.

Actually doing not much at all and just keeping the momentum of an ongoing energy transition going would be a perfectly reasonable plan. Instead a lot of countries are doing the opposite: sabotaging progress while inventing rediculous measures to allegedly relieve people of pressure from increased energy prices that are nothing but another round of gifts for the fossil-fuel loving energy companies those politicians actually work for.

  • Germany’s problem is not building stuff but corruption.

Our street/sidewalk was opened up f****ing 7 times in the last 3 years for fiber-optic cables. Because if there is money to be spend they will find a way to give it to some buddies for putting the 2nd, 3rd or 10th set of redundant cables into the ground.

Oh, and guess what is not available here… a fiber connection, because actually connecting those cables is not where they can make money. And if they somehow manage this some day… I’ll pay insane prices compared to any other country.

Which is both again caused by corruption, a.k.a. a few big companies and their well-paid lobbyists working hard to be the only option.

Not cat but obviously a jackal… (seriously… was the name and the ‘weighing the soul of your connection’-thing not enough?)

    Not anime…

Not a nurse… (that’s a maple leaf on the cap and since when is a magnifying glass typical medical equipment?)

    Also and much more important:

Not the more annoying (and often failing) Cloudflare screen…

    Not another stupid CAPTCHA…

PS: Did version 1.23.1 really change the Canadian flag with a ‘CA’… I have found screenshots of versions older than that that did display the flag as do newer ones. So I’m really asking myself if that was an intentional edit to get away with the “nurse” argument.

  • My understanding from past reading is that some of what justified this approach is that France is betting very heavily on relying on the Dassault nEUROn, possibly being remotely-controlled by a Rafale that’s hanging back

Yeah, that’s just another highlight of this “cooperation”. The very same company that demands massive concessions for the jet part or else is already involved in developing the drone-side of things when that was Germany’s part of the common project.

  • To absolutely noone’s surprise France decided yet again that you either do it exactly by their specification (also build in France, by France of course) with no other input allowed.

Ffs… it’s been f***ing 40 years since the APACHE clown show and still idiots in Germany try again and again to make cooperations with France work somehow as if they would ever change.

Oh… and of course the next big idea after a jet primarily developed by France and a support drone eco system developed primarily by Germany is to now to do separate jets and develop the the drone part together. If you have a working brain cell left you know where this ends.

  • They also -and purely coincidentally of course- totally ignore that Germany in fact has the capacities to produce all electricity required for them (and half of their neighbours on top) while blowing up stories about net imports in a single-digit percentage range and praising other countries actually dependent on imports as long as their energy mix is low in renewables.

The fossil fuel psyops and its results on policies and public opinion is insane.

  • And afterwards they tell some whiny tale how the people are to blame and cry about those backward Germans opposing digitalisation.

When in reality there is only broken bullshit and so it becomes second nature to avoid it (like for example of course officially objecting to your participation in the new digital medical file years before the roll out… so about a year and a few days before the data of the few who missed it gets leaked).
