I do see the harm. “Everything that looks bad is fake” is not very far from what this guy has said before, and more fake stuff circulating makes it easier for his 30% to believe him.
Don’t blame the rest of us for the Dipshit segment that will support him in anything. It doesn’t matter if they are doctored photos or true photos, their reaction will be exactly the same.
It does matter, though. That dipshit segment is lost. But there’s a big chunk of people who swing side to side. Tons of people are constantly telling them “both sides bad” (including quite a lot of .ml users on this platform). It’s not true.
But if we start saying it’s fine to lie and manipulate images like this, then it becomes a little more true.
I get that, but it isn’t really a lie, because he DOES fall asleep, OFTEN. So who cares if it isn’t an actual photo of him doing what he does all the time? It would only be wrong if it was a picture of a behavior that he never does, or is the opposite of the truth.
I don’t know why they didn’t use an actual photo of him, there are enough of them, but this is close enough to the truth, that it doesn’t bother me.
