This issue just popped up and I’m not sure what’s wrong. I have tried multiple devices and consistently the right one is audible while the left one is barely. I have checked the connection with the two pin cable and replugged it a few times with no luck. Has anyone experienced this issue, or did I get a bad QC unit or something?

I am using the Moondrop Chu 2

UPDATE: I found it! There is green goop on the filters, making the LHS inaudible and the RHS quieter. I was able to clean the goop of the RHS, but the goop is inside the little holes of the filter in the LHS and more difficult to remove

The green goop might be some lubricant they used (but last I removed the tips, it wasn’t there, so it’s a new thing weirdly enough)

Is it possible to get a new filter that isn’t all gooped up, like is there a standard size or are all of them different?

Just checked, the right one has green goop too! Maybe it’s lubricant for the screw that was misapplied?

Chu is cheap. Maybe they used crappy plastics?

Fwiw I have many IEMs and have never seen that!
