Loxley valley near Sheffield, UK
Fantastic, it is always interesting to see how early spring comes to the UK compared with Sweden, I took this photo a few days ago as I was walking home from the office:

Truly! I was in Norway a month or so ago and it was still so wintry by comparison, not a bit of green to be seen anywhere (I guess the grass stays kinda brown for a while after the snow all melts?)
Was very nice to get home and see leaves again
Today felt very summery here, a bit south of Stockholm.

thank you for sharing, it must have been a nice walk
Boy howdy is that beautiful!
One look at this picture and I was like, “oh dam!”
I’m often guilty of this but I think you’ve developed it with too much contrast. The shadows are reading too deep and the eye doesn’t scan like it’s a continuous space, it’s broken into distinct spaces. Were you going for crushed blacks?
I’ll be honest this is straight off my phone, I did nothing to it
Thought so. Sky and tree foilage kinda looks like Samsung’s Vivid template colors, but overall over-enhacement looks like recent Motorolas do. I’m curious what brand it is, as I watched a ton of smartphone camera comparisons lately, and many had very distinct approaches to how their picture would come off, despite sometimes similar hardware.
Google pixel 7, default settings
Ha, thanks for the info. I thought Pixels do a bit more muted and more realistic colors in general, but might have been a very colorful scene you stumbled on indeed.
Beautiful detail and ambience throughout the photo, though, thanks for sharing.
