Why are some of them squished? Wonder if that is a bad edit or if it was actually taken like this due to distortion from the atmosphere somehow.
It’s because the moon is flat and in those photos you are looking at it from an angle.

I would assume it’s the natural visual distortion from when the moon is viewed when really low on the horizon.

All those photos are taken from Earth, and its atmospheric conditions filter the color of the light reflected off the Moon.

I’m so annoyed the purple moon isn’t in the center of the spiral. It looks so wrong… you could probably make a very pleasant HUD or terminal or GUI color scheme/palette out of those.
