      Its Oxford University slang derived from Rugby School slang, rather than Etonian. However, many do still refer to the morning meal as “brekkers” and nakedness as “starkers”, regardless of class.

        Oh yeah, that’s it, Oxford. I learnt about rugger and brekker from The Treasure Seekers books. I’ve never heard anyone I’ll say brekkers, at least in my area, brekkie is more common.

        Now I’m surprised that “starkers” has posh roots.
