2·8 days agoThis is horrible. And I say this as someone who’s had horrible experiences with users over there, particularly when it comes to bullying and harassment. They didn’t deserve to get shut down like this. Hope they’re able to fix whatever the problem is and get back up and running again.

11·1 month agoI think this can only happen on larger instances that don’t have the infrastructure to scale for spikes of high demand. This isn’t a flaw of the protocol; you’d have to speak to the people who host your instance about the issues it has.

12·2 months agoAh I remember dbzer0, he led a harassment campaign against a Lemmy instance I used to run because he didn’t like some news articles I was posting.

A bot instance, like Botsinspace, populated with LLMs, would be rather interesting to observe.
