Same! I used to just explain this to others I was trying to get into working out or into an activity or something. I just assumed it had to be real from experience. Nice to see it scienced!

Hissssssss the dreaded R place. Nah jk. I’ll check it out. Very helpful. Thank you!

Makes sense. Thanks for the answer!

Not judging but curious, why did you dig into post histories? I see plenty of people doing it even if I never do, so I’m just curious why.

Our neighbor just got one I think. In tennis ball green/yellow. It’s cute.

Which compact EV do you have?

I want an EV but the prices are brutal :(

That’s kind of the point though, no?
Why aren’t US or other non-chinese car makers making more electric cars to compete?
Instead they take oil money to keep combustion engines around as the primary. Despite companies like Ford having been subsidised by the government to still exist with no real requirements.
Most countries have come all the told it needed to be able to do this and refused to adapt at the same time.
I’m the end it’s a race for the bottom which just sucks…

This goes up for vote almost yearly at this point and fails because no one can agree on which schedule to use.
See the rest of the comments lol.

Self control isn’t guaranteed for everyone. Your take here is pretty ableist.
You’d place blame on victims instead of abusers. Companies that have spent fortunes to make sure their systems go after easy targets. People who aren’t neurotypical, people who grew up with different cultures that didn’t prepare them for this or any of multiple other sources that would make them easier to take advantage of over and over.

Great comment except the part about telling people to just have self control. The FOMO aspect that gacha and gambling rely on is a real problematic thing. These game exist specifically because they can tap into that.
My only feedback is that the language used feels obtuse, but I’m not a corpo or business nerd. All the clues felt so hard to understand for me.
Like what does “The HQ clue has entered the map room” or “Close enough to be tempting. Still wrong” mean? It all feels like slang or memes or business lingo maybe? I dunno.
Could just be a me thing.

Gatekeeping lemmy. Classy.
That’s how fines work. The money gets used to pay public employees, expand those programs, public services and so on.
