I don’t know if it would give you as much hard drive space as you want, but I got an Odroid HC4 a while ago and it’s been great. One of the very few SBCs with two SATA slots ready to go.

2·5 days ago“Software-defined vehicles” is an industry trend. Not specific to AI (the term has been around for a decade or so). It means vehicles that are defined more by their software than by the hardware (which is how people have historically seen vehicles).
As an example, consider your phone. They have hardware specs, but it’s often the software that defines the product more than the specs.
I’ve used both, been daily driving Cachy for a year or two now. CachyOS is a bit easier than plain Arch, in my opinion. I’ve been using Octopi (a gui tool that fronts the package manager) because I never fully got the hang of
pacmanyet. And I use Btrfs Assistant (another gui tool) instead of configuringsnapperfrom the CLI.Overall, it’s more involved than something likr Ubuntu or Debian, but it feels manageable.

2·10 days agoSpace for juniors has been disappearing for the last decade (see years of memes about entry-level positions requiring 2 to 3 years of experience). AI just gives corporations reason to continue the trend.

6·13 days agoI’m guessing some areas/industries are better or worse. Mine seems pretty bad, at least in my area. Being involved in hiring co-ops and new grads has given me a good taste for what the expectations are like, and it’s not great. So my view is probably a bit dismal.

52·13 days agoThe problem is that many “legit” colleges are already degree mills, albeit at a slower pace. In the US at least, colleges are run like businesses. More students means more money. As long as they can maintain an okay reputation, they’ll churn as many students through as they can. The places that let you fast-track like this are just taking the next logical step, and letting the mask slip a little further. The whole system is broken; this is just another symptom.
Not every institution is this way. In my area, there are one or two schools that consistently produce people who actually know something. But it’s a pretty small percentage, all things considered, and I expect the overton window will gradually lessen expectations at those places over time as well.
I dunno, smashing windows sounds pretty on brand actually
I can’t imagine too many scenarios where allowing someone who is wielding a one-handed (or versatile) weapon and nothing in the off hand to have a bonus action unarmed strike to be game-breaking. Seems like an easy call to me.

My only hope with this is that MS doesn’t have a complete hold on the gaming market anymore. Valve has to hold some serious sway at this point, and MS doing that might backfire on them.
