Not that it matters, but it’s not anime style, it’s a “western” style cartoon character. Compare it to e.g. the original Disney princesses, the proportions and style look like that, not like anime characters.

I am pretty sure it’s just anti-privacy actors trying to sow discord and generate infighting in privacy communities, and the person your are replying to is either one of them or ate the propaganda.
Any cursory look at the Proton guy reveals he’s a progressive who keeps donating to left-wing causes, girls education, pro-LGBT, pro-consumer. To try to paint him as MAGA for being glad about an objectively good thing the Trump admin once surprisingly did is just ridiculous, and obviously not done in good faith.
Yeah, the answer to “Is Framework ethical?” is simple, no they aren’t. The answer to “Is Framework more ethical than all the Big Tech laptop manufacturers?” is a resounding yes though. Which is a sad state of affairs
Yeah, it is very different with a team member / known long time contributor. I am taking about random people opening a PR.
I have a similar attitude to PRs on my projects even though I don’t use LLMs. Doing something myself is just simply faster that reviewing someone else’s code, it’s potential to be malicious, wasting time on the back and forth, contributors not following the project standards.
LLM’s may be a piece of the puzzle for this guy, but I have the same opinion without them.

Technology@lemmy.world•Goodbye device ownership, and the last vestiges of free speech will die with this bill as well.English
1·14 days agoTo make matters worse, this is an Operating System level requirement, which means it has more permissions than any other piece of software you run
That’s not a given, it could easily be implemented as a normal application with normal permissions, that the OS starts when needed.

News@lemmy.world•Jubilant return of Artemis II shadowed by ‘extinction-level’ cuts to NASA: ‘It’s discordant’
0·19 days agoIt’s hardly a fuck you to Musk since the Artemis program depends on SpaceX and the next mission is going to use a SpaceX rocket according to current NASA plans.
Yeah, SpaceX had nothing to do with Artemis II specifically, but that’s because SpaceX is responsible for the Moon landing, not for the flyby, in the Artemis plans.

There is none. VR is a fools errand on Linux. You can maybe get something to technically run, but with missing features, worse performance, and even then only some VR will even attempt to launch to that broken state.
I have a Windows VM for VR gaming. Dual boot also works. For all non-VR gaming, Linux is pretty much flawless nowadays.
Which Distro? Pick one that has existed for at least 10 years, with the desktop environment your like the look and feel of most, and most popular and well supported from that.
