You were very brave, it’s not easy to start directly from Chaos;Head! Taku is a bit like that, and in the end I could even say I started liking him, but it took so long to get to that point XD

Yup, he pretty much is! But that also makes him immensely unusual, and sometimes unusual ends up being better.

I’m looking forward to it too! I recommend you buy Japanese copies of both Head and Child if you want to play them with the patch, just in case they randomly become super expensive :')

I tried reading the first book years ago, but I couldn’t get into it. Maybe I should give it another shot?
