“Israel treats journalism as a crime” isn’t a condemnation, it’s a gross understatement. You don’t drop bombs on criminals and then bomb Red Cross workers trying to get them out of the rubble and shoot up an ambulance taking them to hospital. It’s hard to find words to describe how deeply evil the everyday actions of Israel are and people are constantly making it sound like some mild transgression.

The traditional way is to scoop out your eyeballs and blast bug spray into the sockets. Can’t say I recommend it as they just tend to take refuge in the brain, and if you don’t kill them you’ll really piss them off. Better just to cancel all your TV subscription services and read 18th century literature for at least 6 hours a day. There is a fair chance they will just get bored and leave of their own accord.

There’s no contradiction here. The US military exists to preserve and extend capitalism. Taking care of veterans would be socialist.
