Nah friend, they will give you a DUI if they want. Horse, bicycle, car, whatever. You can be doing the responsible thing and sleeping in your car and get DUI. I had a sober friend get pulled over running an orange light, searched his car, found his little metal bowl and charged him DUI. They administered a drug test which of course showed weed.

The worst thing about the 2011 prequel is they had filmed the whole movie with practical effects, like the Carpenter movie, which is one of my favorites of all time. If you’ve seen it, you may remember very little of these and a lot of cgi.

The studio or production company or whatever didn’t like the practical effects and we got cgi Thing instead. I’d love to see the original effects, and I feel so bad for the people who worked so hard on it just to get scrubbed from the final cut.

90% insect population decline. It’s right there in our faces, and (not) on our windshields. I drive a lot for work and there’s just so few bug splatters compared to 10 years ago or especially compared to 20 or more. I remember 20 years ago a three hour trip this time of year would have your car absolutely plastered with bug guts. Last Friday I drove 10 hours and cleaned my windshield at the end, but it wasn’t because I couldn’t see.
