VW has a lot of Chinese versions with less features, which are sold for significantly less. That could be a really good move.
At the same time Germany has to move away from cars towards better public transit, cycling and walking.
That is just the army. So the air force and marines are not included.
There is nothing, which can replace the US bases in Germany on short notice. These are state of the art facilites, which have been built up over literally decades. Even if you moved them to say Poland or Romania, that would take years and billions.
At the same time with Germany rearming, it should be rather possible for the Bundeswehr to take them over. So the local economy would not be impacted as badly.
Scholz SPD was against sending Taurus. The Greens and Liberals were openly calling for more aid and were also part of the governing coalition. So the opposition leader Merz was hitting the government in a weak spot.
Scholz SPD was the reason that government was not sending more aid back then. I doubt that the SPD would be against Merz cutting aid to Ukraine.
He sends a lot of aid to Ukraine and has not tried to stop or slow down that aid. As much as I dislike Merz, I sincerely doubt that he is on Putins side.

That shift has already long-since occurred. Near enough any consumer good in the west will be marked “Made in China”. The exceptions are usually because of trade protectionism, which is an anti-competitive practice.
That is actually really weird. Usually countries are on a sort of wage spectrum. The poor countries will attract relatively low skill, but high work production like clothing, which requires low wages. The high income ones tend to have either dark factories for mass production or some high skill work for specialized products.
The weird part is that China does both. Usually countries when the get richer, loose the low skill low pay jobs to other countries. That has not happened in China. Part of that is probably the size of China, but still even rather large countries with a similar GDP per capita do not tend to be large low skill work countries anymore. For example Mexico and Brazil are roughly on the same level as China, but do not really export clothing.
You really would expect stuff like clothing, cheap toys, christmas decoration and so forth to come from Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and so forth. That really is not the case.
Germany is not the US. As in currently there are not right wing extremist running the German government.
All deployments of the German military outside of Germany are either supported by the host country or by a UN Security Council resolution right now.

They use an AESA radar. They basicly replace the spinning with better electronics.

They get seven power plants. Two are still operating, three have been shut down last year and the other two earlier then that. The two still operating plants are from 1985. That means they need their mid life service soon.
The issue is that decommissioning a nuclear power plant is really expensive. They probably loose money taking them over.
