If this truly were about keeping bots off the platform, I’d predict a great improvement in how genAI renders human eyes. Either way: supposed problem not solved, but more sensitive data collected in the process. Task failed successfully.
Well, fork you and fork off!

They need AI to confirm their racism?
Not confirm, but justify. “Hey, it’s not me - it’s this little machine that says you’re subhuman. I’m just doing my job here, man.”

Naw, it’s price of coffee. It’s way too high and needs to be brought down.

If Hungary stops blocking financial aid for Ukraine, I’m sure the Ukrainians will be more than happy to deliver his invitation straight to Moscow.
I’m considering several, and haven’t made the decision yet: Matrix/Element, Briar, and Session are all on the table.

Hey there, I’m happy you like Exodus. It’s a great resource. Actually, the Aurora Store privacy reports are sourced from Exodus.
Feel free to donate to the project.
While centralisation continues to be a problem (as the recent AWS outage has shown), Signal continues to be the a sufficient compromise between privacy and usability that a non-technical user will actually use.
That said, I’m making contingency plans to set up an alternative for close family in case the US goes full retard and makes it inaccessible.

I’ve gone even further back, having mine painted on Greek pottery

Thanks, I hate it!

None that I’m aware of. Feel free to broaden my horizons, though!

I’ve been running NoScript for ages, so for me, any JS source not explicitly whitelisted is disabled by default. I have yet to encounter a single modern paywall that can be circumvented by this. Care to share where this still works?
You’re right about the scaling issues with mobile.
Wat kind of talk is that? This is an ex-Calyx!
It’s not exactly dead, it’s “on hiatus” until they’ve sorted things out. The founder and lead dev left the project without any message to the community, taking the signing keys with them. Which, obviously raised a lot of questions.
Your recommendation not to install it right now is perfectly valid. And even when the project comes back, I wouldn’t use it until the question of what exactly happened to Nick and who is running the project right now has been sufficiently answered.

Good work, citizen! The tech bros need you to believe that their dumb digital parrots will eventually, magically metamorphose into AGI. It’s the only thing that keeps that sweet VC money flowing and the AI bubble from popping.

uBlock blocks ads. It does not make visible what isn’t transferred.
This, however, does (the article, stripped of its paywall)

Not the Onion?

By making an example of the UK. The UK was the first country to leave the EU, and its economy got fucked big time in the process, making other countries think twice before considering the same manoeuvre. Case in point: the AfD, Germany’s far-right populist party, used to promote an exit from the Euro and EU; seeing what happened to the UK, even those dipshits no longer do.
You can lose the ‘yet’. These projects aren’t going to implement this, so we’re good.
