I actually believe this would have been the best way to start it. Just a general community and if enough people like something make a general community about that. stay as general as possible and only get specific as the audience for it grows. its to late for that but I do feel no one should make a community unless they are passionate about that thing. can fine a few others who are passionate and commited to running the community. I don’t think anyone should really be running more than one community or instance. This to me is why you get all the dead ends. I feel like there is this group that feels like they can trick a community into being. make a community and post like crazy and in a few days or weeks all sorts of people will join and start posting and then they can abandon it and it will continue on. Jut does not work that way.

yeah its like if they want put a price in parenthesis for each item to show what it will really cost. Heck show the cost of ingredients and then the cost for the service to prepare it and then the cost for service to take your order and stuff and then how much is the restaurants profit if they want full transparency.

Well often downvotes will get a comment or edit from an OP along the lines of. Why the downvotes. So some want to know. Further someone who downvotes and comments may have something salient to say. A contstructive negative criticism. Those who down vote and move on just don’t care enough. Granted its always going to be a crap shoot like anything else. I mean why do we care about what anyone on the internet thinks? Its just two kinds of ways people are expressing themselves. Granted I find public voting to be useless myself. I would rather a system that allowed people to vote just for their own uses like modifying how their feed shows up without letting people know they voted it down or up or sideways.

So if you think about this. Out of the people that downvote some will and will put an explanation for why they down vote. You want to not see these so that you will have less of an idea on why your post got downvoted. Do I understand the idea behind this?

kinda. Majority of people don’t care and those that do will block it. Im fine with telemetry in general and for things I trust im fine allowing it through. It really comes down to selling it to third parties that is the issue. They then hoover it up and combine with all sorts of other data sources and a some central places slices and dices it. It can be anonymized but it just takes a few dots connected and the anonymization is out the window. Just gets worse with llms and stuff being able to poor over data.

Around me its impossible to get a car that runs for under a grand at this point. I mean its been that way for awhile really.

This is neat but honestly im looking for something more akin to portable apps where it is a seperate gui that you put anywhere and it keeps its own sub file structure and does not integrate with the os. you set it to auto start or such if you want.

problem with cycling is now you have what is made goes over a longer period lowering any rate manageable. I think it wins if the density is high enough where you can be as fast or faster than the cars.

no I mean the people doing the work. I realize that initiailly thye places ran at such a loss it was kinda doable. especially if it was just supplement. Now though it seems like people do it as a main thing and with the wear and tear on the vehicle it just seems like its a loss long term. Its like the more you do it the less it should return. Once there is a car repair or such.

oh you mean tit like rotating to the back. if I had gotten it would have been funny but I was to dense.

no I mean thought it would rotate through a complete rotation and i can have either side be the bottom. I really hate smartphones though and got it for work which I have not had in almost two years. I use it as a phone but have it off the large majority of the time.

you would need to turn into something like a Pterosaur given the hollow bones and everything. Those could be anywhere half the mass of a person to like twice the mass or something.

I don’t see an issue with it. I live in a city though were its not to uncommon to talk to someone in line or at a bus stop or such. At least I do it and folks have started up convos with me. Not all the time but not all that uncommon.
