You can turn glass off in macOS. On my MacBook running the latest 26.4.1 it’s in the System Settings under Accessibility -> Display -> Reduce transparency.
Sadly, there are still a few apps that don’t respect Accessibility settings, like Tidal, but it should apply to everything that’s part of macOS.

Just don’t shake them after they come out

You mean wannabe Windows 7 Aero? I sure hope so, one of the best things about it is that you can turn it off

It had no impact on employment? What’s with the mass lay-offs at nearly every big software company recently, that just happened to coincide with their push for AI then?
GNU/Linux is an OS Kernel on which many many different operating systems (called distributions) are built.
It’s quite a bit easier to think of Linux as a family of operating systems, though. Are you thinking of getting into using Linux? I would recommend checking out Linux Mint as a beginner friendly distro with a familiar interface.

Yeah… AI companies always think their technology could solve everything.

How about you give me $1 Million AND the car, and I promise that I’ll use Edge for an extensive* amount of time!

I’ve bought a Hiby R3 Pro II a while back and it’s amazing. The build quality is top notch, the battery lasts for 20+ hours and it has basically everything one could need; USB-C, Bluetooth with Apt-X and LDAC, a good screen and a balanced output with plenty of power.
Even rudimentary support for Tidal and Qobuz. The only downside is that there’s no storage built-in, but you can use microSD cards up to 2TB.

A dedicated portable audio player with support for high-res files (that’s NOT running Android).
You can’t just doom scroll all day, no one can call you, you won’t get any spam texts or emails on it. It’s just you and your music.

Right? It’s not like they’re filing down the edges or something

This was on my work computer.
Oh god. The IT department must hate them.
I wonder if they would do that with their personal machines as well…

What would happen if that AI clone fired or promoted someone?

Why not just, you know, employ an actual human to do your chores in the first place? It’ll almost certainly be a lot cheaper than this clanker…
Besides, there’s no guarantee that those teleoperators won’t be literal slaves.
Not moving out. In Germany there’s still a bit of a stigma around living with your parents past your mid-20s but when I see what’s currently going on with, you know, the housing market I’m glad I made that decision. I might have been a bit too lazy as well…
Plus I was able to save a bunch of money because of that, which is gonna come in handy for my move to Australia in September.
