I started putting together a RAID, got the housing and the first drive, the plan was to buy a drive with each paycheck until I had the 4 drives I need. The first drive was like $250, arrived last week. Then I checked the price this week and the same drive is now $650.

I use a yubikey on my laptop, but I use it to make it even harder to log in. It’s set to challenge-response so you have to have the key in and enter a password to unlock LUKS. Bit overkill but it was more just to see if I could do it lol

Yeah I do mine with crypto, I just got an account number and sent money, no other info exchanged. Apparently you can also just send them cash in an envelope with no identifying information and they’ll still activate your account, but I haven’t tried that yet lol.

GrapheneOS user here! Not sure about websites but there are certain apps that don’t work properly without Google Play Services, but Graphene’s app store has a sandboxed version of it, so I just installed that and revoked all it’s permissions. Then if an app needs it, I just turn on the relevant permission, do the thing and then turn permissions off again. It’s a bit of a pain at first but I’m used to it now.

Yeah it had 21 data points on me, and all of them except for “Browser Language: English” were incorrect. Which I guess means my setup is doing okay lol.
