They’ll get sent stuff by the West to slowly grind Russia to a pulp?

Okay, of course it’s not that simple, and wartime is awful. Russia still has an aura of invincibility in eastern Europe, too. But come on, that as a threat, right now?

The US has been doing a lot of denouncing Cuba recently.

I mean, if you’re a right-wing US president looking for an easy and ideologically acceptable target, Venezuala and Cuba are right there. The fact Trump did a detour through menacing Canada and Greenland first just shows how dumb he is.

It feels irresponsible to use that headline and not mention that most vegans don’t go insane. Because some people actually do seem to think compassion diets kill you, despite the obvious empirical evidence to the contrary.

Plus, it’s bloat. A snippet of extra code isn’t going to cause much trouble, but then you end up doing it a lot, and there’s snippets in the snippets, and all the sudden something that used to fit on a floppy is 3 gigs.

I have no idea how much of a factor this is relative other various performance-sacrificing shortcuts, but Wirth’s law is a thing.

Does it matter what kind of dependancy? Like, sure, if it’s somebody’s 5-year-old school project that’s bad, I guess. (I’m experiencing this meme right now)
