Nah, you’ll probably have Internet, and the closest grocery store in a lot of places is like 20-30 min away. But mobile towers are pretty spotty, the closest grocery is going to be expensive (if it isn’t something like a dollar general, which is also pricey), and the roads will be outright dangerous in some areas. There is a reason land in west Virginia and rural mountains of NC, VA, AND TN can be soo cheap.
In all fairness, there is a reason that Appalachian land is cheap, and that is that setting aside your neighbors, the geographic disadvantages are pretty bad for farming and development.
Next up, they need to get some advice from a politician that has better polling numbers, like Trump. /s
Uh, no it’s not. Quite literally the opposite actually. You can get apks for your apps outside of the play store currently, just have to install them yourself (yeah, you need to check a box to install third party apps once, but that’s it). The proposed change from google is mostly to make that harder, and make most users locked more into the play store ecosystem so that Google gets their cut from everything.
If that’s the case, then Google really needs to fix the play store because you can absolutely get malware from there. This change is mostly to start locking down the ecosystem to force users to only be able to pay Google a cut of all revenue on the platform (apple already does this). It’s bullshit, and it hopefully backfires for Google.
Unfortunately, its beginning to be a little more complicated than that, as there are prints that can be generated by AI now. Also, some software that detects print issues is probably using AI based tangle detection (pretty it actually is more AI based than just ML, but if anyone knows better let me know). The irony is that this is becoming a pretty good shit post due to that new difference.
