You seem to have completely missed my point. I was not complaining about people trying to be “less terrible”, of course that’s good. But this is an “Uplifting News” community, and I found an article that says “well at least we’re trying to be not quite as terrible, lol” not uplifting, but quite sad. I would find it uplifting if people were trying to be good, not “less terrible”.
This would fit better in a “music” community, not “uplifting news”.
If you wanted to convey any sort of nuance, try using more than 4 words next time.
Saying you’re not complaining about people trying to be less terrible then explaining exactly how you’re complaining about people less terrible.
Sorry things aren’t as black and white as you can handle, but let people work incrementally at least.
