The SPLC is literally comprised of top-tier attorneys who will wipe the floor with the DOJ in court

      Thats not the point.

The point is that the DOJ now sends a bunch of people to harass and assault anybody associated with the SPLC. Doesnt matter if the DOJ looses, they dont care about that, just dragging the case out to cost the SPLC money.

I don’t know if those claims hold water. Who is assaulting people associated with the SPLC again? And the costs associated with litigation are largely attorney’s fees…

This article doesn’t use the word “terror.” Is the DOJ really using that word somewhere?

Wouldn’t using that word be an admission that the National Alliance and/or the Ku Klux Klan were terrorists? I bet this regime doesn’t want to do that.

The charges are that they “defrauded donors” by paying informants in right-wing hate groups, and somehow wire fraud for paying those informants. Whether any of that is actually illegal is dubious

This will just get thrown out in court if the DoJ even bothers to show up, being so understaffed.

From the audits after the first administration, it seems like they just have punch bowls set out with uppers and downers.
