Valve appears to be moving closer to the launch of the Steam Machine. According to information found in Steam’s reservation code, the company is preparing four different Steam Machine packages with different storage options and versions that may include the Steam Controller. The information found in the Steam database points to 512 GB and 2 TB models, with each version available either with or without the Steam Controller. The Steam machines, even though they’re Linux, will have age verification baked in so Valve can sell them in all the States of the USA and other countries that demand it.
Steam asks for date of birth already when creating the account.
That’s what the current/proposed laws ask for.
Steam may ask but the laws want it implemented by the operating system, and SteamOS can do more than just play games within Steam.
The law is by user, and the steamOS user is the steam user.
