minus-squarepeskypry@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up15·3 days agoBecause ARM is a fucking mess. Each device has it’s own way of booting. There’s no standard like UEFI or BIOS. Plus you need propreitary code for modem to support 2G, 3G, 4G…etc. which are complicated to implement.

Because ARM is a fucking mess. Each device has it’s own way of booting. There’s no standard like UEFI or BIOS.
