That’s what frustrates me about most of history. History books talk about glorious leaders and their conquests and all I see is “Gangs of New York” writ large. And conquests are to me just organised armed robbery, organised at such a scale that people are given uniforms.
Essentially only modern rule based international politics elevated war over gang turf quarrels. It’s a shame it’s in the process of being abandoned.
I would argue that it was never different. Just not this apparent.
Their jet is literally called “Felon”.
Russia didn’t create that designation. That’s the doing of AFIC.
