    It’s definitely time for this.

Jobs was the master of the reality distortion field.

Cook was the master of the supply chain.

Both of these functions are fully operational at this point; we need someone with a different strength to up Apple’s game.

As long as it’s not someone from sales or marketing, I figure it’s all good — as long as the board is willing to replace them in a couple of years if the new improvements don’t make themselves known.

That’s not going to happen. They’re going to bring in someone willing to do the dirty work like a Zuck or Altman, and catch up in the data harvesting, but play like they give a shit. “We protect your data from 3rd parties” while hoarding and monetizing it for themselves… They’re not innocent. I’m fact, their no better than Google or Microsoft.

When they stopped being able to convince everyone they needed a new phone every year, or accessories, now they just compensate by selling your data.

Yeah, I completely agree! Historically, sales take CEO positions, interesting approach to go for the hardware guy.

I’m interested to see if Apple will further pivot into accessibility and health devices. John Ternus has some interest in the field.

The transition to USB-C has been pain. But I feel like we are past dongle town now.

Is not having an Ethernet jack really that bad? Is having an Ethernet adapter really that bad? Is Ethernet important enough to increase the thickness of laptops? Don’t people love docks anyway?

But yeah, the transition was rough. I’m glad they brought HDMI back. And that they have it on desktops too.
