The United Kingdom and the European Union have finalized an agreement allowing Britain to take part in the bloc’s Erasmus+ student exchange scheme.
More than 100,000 people are expected to benefit when they become eligible on January 1, 2027, the British government said in a statement on Wednesday.
The agreement is currently only for one year, and Britain will contribute 570 million pounds (€655 million, $774 million) towards the scheme’s costs in 2027.
That’s a nice step in the right direction. Maybe it helps Brits realise how stupid of an idea Brexit really was.
I’d love to welcome our brothers back. Especially in times like these.
As a Brit I can confirm that it was a 100% stupid idea. Looking forward to my son being able to take advantage of agreements like this one day and not end up stuck in an isolationist hellscape.
stuck in an isolationist hellscape.
Not going to the EU, then?
That is a rather sweeping proposition. Do you want to elaborate?
So we were actually given the option to not leave this in the first place, but the Tories turned it down because they are vindictive cunts who probably still send their kids to Swiss finishing school to get them out of the house.
This and selling off the land for the remainder of HS2 so that is nigh on impossible to resurrect, was such a dirty move designed only to cause pain.
Doubt we will see them back in government during my lifetime but worry of what’s coming from the right in place of them, is even worse.
Edit: spelling.
