still don’t know why in Germany cats, the pets that frequently are left to roam through the neighborhood alone, are not required to be chipped, while dogs are…
Yeah, it’s totally crazy to let your cat roam around. They are killing birds, are killed themselves by cars or will simply be missing, are fighting with other cats and get injured all while pooping on your neighbors yards and balconies.
The general allowance of cats to roam free and wreak havoc on the local ecosystem and putting themselves and their kin in danger is outrageous. And I say that as a cat lover and owner. Cats can have great and fulfilling lives if owners cares enough to give it to them without letting them run around freely, but I’m sure the main problem is the lack of actually caring owners.
Same in Slovakia.
Dogs attack people on order of magnitude more often than cats and dogs do way more damage when they do. Cats are probably just not as high a priority. Both should definitely be chipped, though.
Dogs are also usually accompanied by their owners, which makes identifying them a lot easier
What a frightening thumbnail photo.
Frighteningly adorbs
Adorighteningble.
Such a catchy word is sure to get frequent usage.
My cat loved my dog more than anything, and spent weeks waiting in sorrow when he was gone. That photo just reminds me of their love for each other.
Be that as it may, in tiny thumbnail format it looks like a fuzzy chimera with three eyes and a mouth on its forehead.
