You’re forgetting the covert party of the US. You might miss it because they also do so much out in the open. The CIA and NSA are the biggest covert ops agencies of the world, but there are many more agencies from that country.

And how many soldiers were allowed to continue torturing and raping Afghans and Iraqis, and fellow soldiers, after they got cought? It only became an issue when photos were leaked, but even then many never faced prosecution. And next to them being allowed to continue, known child rapists are voted into presidential office. And people who stand up for their rights or to protect others are being executed. And yes, it is being filmed, but even then it is supported and protected by the US government and agents do not face prosecution or will be pardoned.
