    Well it’s hardly surprising a Tory centrist would be supportive of Starmer. They both have identical political viewpoints - Major would have been drummed out of the current Tory party. Labour has moved right into what used to be the Tory position.

    Scaling back or abolishing the House of Lords won’t help with the long term policy issue either.

    I actually think the system is very good, I would prefer though that instead of doing away with it, they just change how Lords are appointed. Would be cool if big professional institutions in the fields of nursing, education, finance, technology, etc could appoint lords every decade or so
